Margaret Hunter Soprano
Margaret Hunter, soprano, is an active performer both in the U.S. and abroad, regularly singing repertoire from the 11th to the 21st centuries. A specialist in music of the baroque, hailed by critics as “dulcet, mesmerizing, and glorious” (Cleveland Plain Dealer) and “shining and radiant” (Munstersche Zeitung), she has recently appeared as a soloist with such ensembles as the Orchestra of Emmanuel Music, Musica Sacra Boston, the Hamburg Baroque Orchestra, Cantus Thuringia, King’s Strings, 17th-Century Voices, Seraphim Singers, Bremer Barock, Norddeutsche Barock, CelloSound Bremen, and L’Accademia d’Amore. In 2005, in addition to her ensemble work, she presented solo recitals at festivals in Germany, Holland, France, and the U.S. A recipient of a 2004–2005 Performer’s Fellowship from the Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst, she currently resides in northern Germany.
